Yoga and Relaxation

Just like yoga is a varied practice, so are these classes.

Some powerful, some relaxing. Some dynamic and some really deeply stretching. What ties them all together is a connection of brain, breath and body.

The benefits of adding a regular yoga practice to your fitness and health routines is the variety of movement, speed, control and direction, the slowing and lowering of the breath and the awareness of the mind being focused or distracted, uncomfortable, frustrated or at ease. It’s amazing how we can feel one or all of these emotions when holding a posture. Learning to notice this fluctuation, and then letting it go is the start of a mindfulness practice, and where yoga becomes a full mind and body class.
